What A Great Time! - December, 2011

A little breeze and some light snow made for a near perfect night for our fourth annual Holiday Hayride, complete with a visit from Santa. Our two Belgian horses, Prince and Pearl, were back to pull folks through our streets on a comfy wagon, while everyone sang many of the season’s favorite songs. The homes were gorgeous with all sorts of light displays that were enjoyed by all and the snow made everything look like a winter wonderland!

Over 100 people came out to celebrate the season, visit with their neighbors, eat some really good food, which was rumored to be both fat and calorie-free, and warm themselves by the fire. Hot chocolate and cider were also provided, along with music that added to the ambiance of the evening.

Santa Claus spent time with many children and received requests that ranged from a “long board” to a live snake! What a versatile man he is indeed!

On behalf of the community, the HOA Board would like to thank the Social Committee for organizing this event. It gives joy to many of our neighbors and puts smiles on a lot of faces! Thanks to all HOA members, as well. It’s your dues that make events of this kind possible.

Picnic In The Park Community Picnic - August, 2011

          Once again, the HOA-sponsored Picnic In The Park was well attended and a great time was had by all. The weather was beautiful throughout the day as people enjoyed volleyball and badminton. The younger kids were able to get their faces painted and everyone was able to relax and enjoy the company of their neighbors, which is what it's all about.
          The Social Committee and HOA Board served freshly-grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and, as usual, there was an abundance of all kinds of excellent summer fare to go with those picnic staples! It was reported that blood sugar levels went up just by looking at all of the desserts that folks contributed to the event. Nevertheless, most of those items never made it through the day!
          Thanks to the Social Committee for doing such a great job! They put in many hours to plan, set up, serve food and clean up. On behalf of the entire community, thanks to all of you committee members for being such wonderful neighbors! It was a job well done!
